Aptos Middle School serves a variety of students from around the city of San Francisco. 58% of these students come from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, and 15% are English learners. I strive to create learning experiences that allow all my students to feel successful in the classroom. My practices are rooted in inquiry-based learning of the Next Generation Science Standards. My goal is to help students understand the scientific process so that they can carry these skills and knowledge into the many other dimensions of their lives.
