Instilling a love of reading at a young age is crucial for creating life-long readers. Book bins for our class will allow students to keep books on their level and books that pertain to students' personal interests. This system will help foster a love of reading. As a first year teacher, these supplies are crucial to making an effective classroom where every child will succeed and be comfortable. A classroom set of both personal white boards and clipboards will allow us to work independently, as a group, and with flexible seating so that every student can learn in a way that they prefer and relate to.
