Thank you for visiting my classroom! I teach in an ETK/PCC classroom at Belvedere Elementary in Los Angeles. What is ETK/PCC? Expanded Transitional Kindergarten/Preschool Collaborative Classroom (ETK/PCC) supports Early Childhood Education (ECE) with a general education and a special education teacher co-teaching collaboratively in an inclusive classroom. I was inspired to teach students with special needs when I volunteered for the Special Olympics. I became a Special Education Assistant and was in that position for 9 years. I became a Special Education Teacher and have been enjoying it ever since! I love this classroom because it is the foundation of all future learning and at the same time it teaches tolerance and acceptance.
