My students need to see and feel the content of our studies. We need a laptop and projector. When we cover the Egyptian pyramids, I want to be able to project an aerial view of the space and float over the pyramids to convey dimension and geography. Students will use technology to navigate the globe and discover the wonders of the world. Technology access can take us beyond our classroom walls. Communication with other third grade classrooms, in and out of our city, will allow us to connect into cross-curricular spheres. It will facilitate the exchange of ideas through language. Coordinating literature book clubs dates and face times would bring other perspectives and experiences. Long gone are the days of poster presentations. We can now learn how to create presentations with technology tools and share them globally. Students will create PowerPoint presentations for our school community.
