I would like to set up a listening center so that students are able to record their favorite books and listen to books that they may not be ready to read on their own yet. The Apple iPad and ASUS VivoBook will help students take ownership of their reading and share their favorite books with one another. The goal is to foster independence, a love for reading, and the skills to use technology to share this love with one another. Students will record themselves reading their favorite books on the iPad so that pairs of students can listen to and read along with those books on the Chromebook.
