Through hard work and perseverance, these students will be implementing hands-on learning with an aquaponics system that will introduce students to the complexity of food systems and how as the world changes and develops, so do our food systems. The students will harvest fish and vegetables to provide for our school and community, while steering them towards a career or degree in greenhouse/renewable technology or as a technical career option using STEM. As technology continues to advance and our population continues to grow, it is necessary for new methods of agriculture to be explored while protecting the integrity of our environment.

About my class
