So many of the kids at my school come to school hungry every day. I'm sad to say that many of the breakfasts and lunches provided are not the most nourishing to my students. You can often find students going from teacher to teacher asking for any kind of food they can spare. I do the best I can to offer some type of snacks such as granola bars or cookies to the students, but unfortunately, this is not always possible.
Kids are much happier, healthier, and eager to learn when they aren't going to class hungry. As a teacher, I spend what I can on buying snacks for the students, however, this isn't always within my budget. I find food to be a great motivator to get students to learn because so many of my students come from troubled home situations that may not provide much in the form of meals, nutrition, or snacks.
Your support will go far in helping me to provide a good amount of students with some healthy and fun snacks for the rest of the semester. Thanks so much! My students and I greatly appreciate any and all of your help!
