In an elementary school, having great guest (or substitute) teachers are so important. They take care of our students when we can't be there. Too often, their efforts go unnoticed or unappreciated. My class wants to change that! We will be using these supplies to build "Thank you" bags for all guest teachers in our building. This project will promote teamwork, communication, life skills and academics for my multi-age classroom. With the supplies purchased, my students will work together to put treats, a map of the school, a drink and a handwritten thank you card to deliver to the guest teachers. The students will practice communicating with the guest teacher to tell them how much we appreciate them. My hope for this project is that guest teachers feel welcome and appreciated in our school. My students will feel proud of themselves for working hard to help others feel good.
