Everyone has wanted to learn guitar at some point in their lives. Currently, our school only owns 16 guitars. However, our class sizes are usually much higher than 16 students. Increasing the number of guitars to create a full classroom set will ensure that every student get a chance to learn how to play an instrument. Learning to play an instrument teaches much more than just how to read music. These guitars will provide the opportunity for the kids to explore new genres of music, express themselves safely, set individualized goals, build self-esteem, and bond with other musicians. As they progress, they will be able to do team and independent work to build musicianship and to be able to practice socialization. We will be able to take these skills with us throughout life.
