Being the small school district that we are, there aren't many opportunities for elementary students to be exposed to the technology that our world offers. There are so many things that my students are missing out on because we do not have access to this technology. My students are in need of tablets so that they can access the many learning opportunities this specific piece of technology has to offer. There is an abundance of learning apps that can be put onto the tablet to ensure meaningful learning in the classroom. One amazing app is called Seesaw. Seesaw is an app that allows each student to showcase their learning- not just to show the teacher, but to show at home, too! Whatever we do in the classroom can easily be uploaded on this app and instantly shown to anyone at home who is connected. Families often ask this question to their children, "What did you do at school today?" with the response of "I don't know." You've heard this- I know! With this app, you don't have to wonder anymore! Every child is proud to show off their work at home! However, it's not just for pictures. Children can put videos on this app too! The children can record themselves reading a book, going through math facts, or even doing a science experiment. Listening to themselves read a book motivates them to get better and read more! Seesaw is the ultimate app! However, we need the tablets in order to use it! With the use of the tablets, each child will be able to show something awesome they've done each and every day!
