The students in my classroom require multiple sensory breaks through out the day so we are able to "get our wiggles out" and focus a little better during our instruction time. The sensory toys I have requested will provide my students with different things to fidget with during a lesson so they are able to sit still and focus a little better. The body sock, Bluetooth speakers, vibrating pillow my students will be able to use during our afternoon Break Break where we calm down after lunch so we are able to be successful the remainder of the day.
All students are promised the right to an appropriate education. The bouncy bands will be used on the students chairs to provide them with a way to bounce or swing their feet without kicking other students. This will provide a way for all my students to be able to sit a little more still and not distract their peers. I have also requested an iPad mini for my students to use during small group instruction where they will be able to review already taught tasks.
