String instruments are complicated yet rewarding instruments to learn. Our bass students currently don't have bows. This means they are limited to plucking the strings to produce a sound. If they had bows our bass students would be opened up to a whole new world of sound. All of our students need rosin. String students need rosin to make sound with their bows. If a student's instrument breaks or they don't have the materials they need to succeed, their momentum in class is inhibited. With replacement rosin, students can quickly get on track. Additionally, with backup rosin, a lack of materials will never interrupt learning in my classroom.
