Students are creating an idea for a product given a specific criteria. They are to use they available resources to design, draw, measure, and build a functional prototype of their product. There is a tremendous amount of focus on detail in their mechanical drawings and the accuracy of the dial caliper will really help them complete their projects to the best of their ability. The importance of accurate measurement in the "real world" of construction, design and engineering is critical and exposing students to the tools that can prepare them for the real world now will enable them to become more successful later.

About my class
