My classroom is a 7th grade ELA classroom with an assortment of learners that range from high to low poverty, Lexile reading levels from beginning reader to above secondary education reader, and many diverse ethnic and language backgrounds. My students are eager to learn and bring so much diversity to my classroom. We are ALL learning from one another! Our focus in my classroom is reading, writing, and all other ways that literacy presents itself in the 21st century. My classroom utilizes flexible seating which was made possible by generous donors through Donors Choose. Students have a classroom library filled with options and choice. Our school and district are 1:1 with student technology and our classroom instruction utilizes as much of that technology as possible.
