My students live in a high poverty community. For a majority of my students, English is their second language. They attend a small, over crowded, inner city elementary school with over a thousand students. All of the students at this school receive free lunch. They are very sweet and loving but lacking basic necessities such as food, clothes and a stable place to stay. Teachers at this school have to spent their own money to provide students with basic school supplies such as notebooks, folders, etc..
