I am a 4th grade teacher that has begun and sustained a Garden Club at my school for eight years. This Garden Club is open to 4th and 5th graders, who meet once a week after school. The students call themselves the Dirt Diggers. The time me have spent together learning about the environment as well as the gardening projects we have completed and maintain around our school campus will surely have a lasting impression on the many children that have given their time and energy in this endeavor.
