Our school is a STEM school that prepares our students in every way possible for college and careers. Having three Chromebooks available to my third graders at all times will maximize their opportunities to become proficient with technology! We have several programs available, including Accelerated Reader and i-Ready. When my students excitedly finish their chapter book, they could use the Chromebook immediately to take the comprehension quiz. Fast finishers can also utilize a Chromebook for practicing their math facts or taking their skill knowledge to the next level. Chromebooks are beneficial to allow my students to enhance their typing skills using several programs- typing is a very crucial skill in today’s world. I also use Chromebooks daily in small group to promote collaboration. These three Chromebooks would be a perfect addition to math stations as the students can explore math concepts with a technology connection. Finally; we will use Chromebooks to advance inquiry during science and social studies. The possibilities are endless!
