My students attend a public school in North Carolina. We have 25 Deaf and hard of hearing students in our elementary school alone. They are in grades PK-5. Their hearing losses range from moderate to profoundly deaf. We have a mixture of hearing aids and cochlear implants as well as a mixture of students who speak and listen and students who use sign language.
