My wonderful students face so many challenges on a daily basis. When they come to our classroom every day I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and accepted no matter what worries they may have outside of school. Our Title One school has a very diverse student population where children come from various ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds. Our school also serves 100% of our student population free or reduced lunch. Although we have many challenges to overcome when teaching our students, we strive to meet their needs any way possible. My students have made so many gains across all subject areas. I know the tremendous academic growth they have made is because we build life-long learners at my school. We don't focus on the apparent challenges which come with our student population, but instead diligently work to make sure our students receive all the resources they need to succeed!
