My classroom is a Special Education lab setting. I teach multiple levels of English. I have students who are classified as autistic, specified learning disability, intellect deficit and emotionally disturbed. Research is part of the district and state curriculum. My students are below grade level in reading and writing. Students in my classes will be expected to graduate and to find meaningful employment. We are in a Title 1 - low income area. Most of my students are on the free and reduced lunch program. Our school is located in the suburbs and part of a public school system.
