I plan for my students to use a block coding program called CoSpaces to create an informative virtual reality(VR) biome which can be explored using VR headsets. Computer coding is now regarded as a 21st century skill, and is a skill in high demand in the job market. This project aims to use block coding as a medium in which students can create a virtual biome while learning the eligible content concerning biomes. In pairs, students will program a biome of their choose using CoSpaces. Each project must fulfill the following rubric requirements: - A background/setting consistent with biome climate, flora, and fauna. - A description of the biome including distance from the equator. - 3D food web or pyramid present in the biome - Three native organisms with a description of an adaptation they possess. The project will be assessed(graded) by other students as they explore and evaluate the different biomes created by their peers using the VR headsets.
