My students will be able to access print- and picture-rich books that are above their reading level with this read-along set and portable CD players. Listening to reading is a key component in learning to read and, unfortunately, not all my students have someone who can read to them at home. Students will be able to listen to, read, and retell their favorite stories in a comfortable environment. They will gain confidence in their reading abilities. This project will be used daily by the first graders in my classroom and will set them up to become the very best readers they can be.
