I teach 5th graders at a small elementary school in North Carolina! In 5th grade at our school, we switch classes, where I teach Reading/Language Arts! My 5th graders are eager to learn more about our American history! They are constantly asking questions and doing research on the major events in our history! While writing and reading are a struggle for some of my students, they enjoy it more if it has something to do with topics they are interested in. Many of my 5th graders are below grade level in reading and struggle with fluency and comprehension. However, most of them are eager and motivated to learn!

About my class
