Simply, I want to bring the world to my students! By acquiring these tablets I plan on using different augmented and virtual reality applications (i.e. Google Expeditions, Discovery VR, & World in 360) to have students visit the world without leaving the classroom. Understanding different cultures comes through experience and exposure which is exactly what these tablets will do for my students. Students will get to explore famous landmarks and other countries in order to share with others in our class "Cultural Museum" with the overarching goal of having students grow in knowledge and understanding of different cultures. After this project, the tablets will still be an asset in my classroom. Students can strengthen skills we are working on in class through the numerous apps available. My newcomers can work on their English vocabulary. In addition, the tablets will help my students work towards being a 21st-century learner who uses technology to create (videos, presentations, etc).
