My students attend an inner-city school where 99% are eligible for free lunches. They come from homes where Spanish is spoken and English is the second language. My students are eager to learn. Providing them with basic school supplies (binders, page protectors, dry erase markers, and printer ink) and timers for reading fluency would help motivate them further.
