We teach Art & ELA to high school students at Another Course to College -- a Boston Public Pilot School. Our curriculum is an interdisciplinary year long curriculum at ACC that combines the ARTS and ELA. Be Kind relies heavily on the premise that students can work on their empathy quotient to strengthen their social emotional skills in the context of READING, WRITING and the ARTS. We have a strong focus on Social Emotional Learning and empathy. Part of the philosophy of student centered learning includes flexible classroom seating. Flexible seating encourages collaboration and a sense of responsibility among students. It helps to foster a positive culture in the room.
