My school is a wonderful and progressive elementary school in a dynamic and diverse community. Our lower school is dedicated to K-2 inquiry, projects and hands-on learning which is very different from most public school options in the area. Most of the families we work with are very involved. The diverse community our families have created comes together to create a beautiful learning environment where all students and families feel at home and supported. In my kindergarten classroom I emphasize a safe learning place for all, where students learn not just from me but from each other. We explore through play, and learn by building and creating together. Cooperation, collaboration, and diversity of learners are the backbone of my teaching philosophy.
