My third graders are special because they’re right at that magical crossroads where curiosity, confidence, and creativity all come together. They ask a million questions—and genuinely want the answers. They start thinking more independently, but still believe in magic and possibility. The empathy and kindness they show is surprisingly deep, especially toward classmates and teachers. Their unique personalities shine through in their humor, passions, and learning styles. They soak up knowledge like sponges, and can turn even a math problem into an adventure (or a comedy sketch). They’re special because they’re not just learning facts—they’re figuring out who they are in the world, and you get a front-row seat to that growth.
