This project will help my class get a classroom set of "Monster". by Walter Dean Myers. Having helped teach it in other classes, I'm now excited to teach it in my own classroom, as a first year teacher. It is one of the few books my students have said they actually want to read, so I'd like to be able to make it a reality for them. They all seem very interested in crime and mystery novels, so I think this will hit those marks for them, but also show them how books can be written in different formats; this is partially written as a movie script.
