We are Baconton Community Charter School; a tiny rural school in South Georgia. Most of the students are from farming or low income families, who are eager for their students to learn and willing to help in anyway. This is part of what makes BCCS so special. It has a family feel to it. Parents, teachers, administrators, and relatives of all kinds come together to form a loving, nurturing environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and be themselves! Unfortunately, we do not have an abundance of funds. The funds we do have are used for improvements to the school in the way of building. The main building is over 50 years old and was purchased and donated by a member of the community, a retired school teacher with family ties to the community. Our class is currently housed in a trailer because funds have not been secured to build an elementary school building yet. The students are amazing! They hold southern values, are respectful, and brilliant!
