Young students need as many opportunities to read as possible. By adding in a music themed library in our music class, my students will have another opportunity to read books, many which are based on songs they already know and love! These books are grade appropriate for my school which is K-2. Having books outside of their homeroom will give them the greater opportunity to find a love for reading. Many students at this school do not have to opportunity to read independently outside of school. This musical library will give them more time to read independently and strengthen their reading skills.
