These books will be added to our small collection of forty-four Spanish books, in a library that serves 800 students. The most common language spoken, after English, is Spanish and our students don't have great options for reading a book in their first language. With these new books, my students will have some titles to choose from so that they can read more in Spanish, which is key to becoming transliterate. I am hoping that they will love looking for books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more; in this way, they will become stronger readers.
