I'm a K-12 School Counselor. I am the only school counselor for about 300 students. I have to constantly go from high school to elementary. The Microsoft Surface Go 10" Pentium Gold would help me do my job more efficiently. I would be able to carry it from building to building while keeping all my files at my fingertips. My goal for the Microsoft Surface Go is to use it to show students other ways of using coping strategies. One way is when a student has had a family member pass away. Students need a better understanding of the grieving process. There are is a brief video about the "Grieving Process: Coping with Death" that I would be able to use and allow them to see the steps to dealing with the loss. Grief is just one of the issues that students struggle with. Other issues are depression, anger issues, bullying, and anxieties. There is a host of PowerPoints for guidance lesson that could be used on an individual base. I can pull the PowerPoints and talk to a student and get to the core of what they may be dealing with. The Microsoft Surface Go 10 will be handy to have to create character education and college & career prep plans for high school and elementary classrooms. I'm excited about the opportunity to use the Microsoft Surface Go.
