Allowing students to work on dry erase boards versus paper is more engaging and allows for quick formative assessments. Using dry erase write and wipe lapboards is a method to increase classroom interactivity. Students can use lapboards for individual work, cooperative group learning, student discourse, and problem solving. The items I have requested will be used on a daily basis. The dry erase markers and lapboards will allow students the opportunity to focus and process information. When students have access to materials like dry erase boards, learning becomes about more than pencil and paper. In math, it is essential for a teacher to be able to analyze student work and assist with mistakes so students will be successful.
