My students need all sorts of essential supplies for the upcoming school year. In order to be successful, my students need erasers, pencils, whiteboard markers, highlighters, and book storage containers. They will highlight important words to help them with reading comprehension. They will use their whiteboard markers to work out problems during math time, allowing me to quickly check for understanding. They will erase mistakes with their erasers, but will remember that mistakes make their brains grow stronger! The book storage containers will allow me to organize books for their interest level, a key to success for their lifelong reading interest and comprehension. I desire to create a classroom in which reading is fun and functional. With your help, students will be able to quickly find the books and supplies necessary to blast them into success! My students come from low-socioeconomic backgrounds, with over 85% receiving free and reduced lunch, and over 75% English language learners. Many of these students cannot afford the basic supplies needed such as pencils, notebooks, and erasers. With your help, my students will have everything they need for the upcoming year. Not worrying about basic supplies will also allow me to be the best teacher I can be for these deserving kiddos. Thank you so much for your help!
