Dear Donors, I teach 2nd and 3rd graders in a blended class of 27 students in a Title 1 school with 53% poverty. Our community support with local churches and businesses help many families with basic needs. It's difficult to engage students with so many outside pressures weighing on them. I have discovered that music and poetry are two great ways to teach a lesson. Student troubles are temporarily forgot when they are being silly and having fun, they also do their best performance tasks too. I would appreciate support to fund the online resource Flocabulary, poetry books and writing tools to help me teach the standards and continue to provide a sanctuary for students in my classroom.
