As an elementary music teacher I teach grades K-6; which means I have every student in our school. This includes students in our general education classrooms, a BRIDGES (Bridges to Success) classroom, and two special education classrooms. My students are enthusiastic and creative individuals with varying learning abilities. I strive to supply my students with classroom materials that keep them engaged. However, with a small stipend I receive at the start of the school year and no budget for our music program most of our classroom materials are paid for out of my own pocket. I do not mind paying for these materials because I know they are valuable assets to my students' learning.
