Lakeshore provides a plethora of resources for classrooms that align with the state standards of learning. Many of the items chosen are easy to apply to small group and whole group learning experiences. Reading comprehension and number sense are key areas for my first grade students. The items I chose, such as the Power Pen Math Quiz Cards and math puzzles focus on allowing students the ability to build upon these skills independently, with a partner, or in groups. Student Engagement in the learning process will increase with these products! Ready made activities such as the ones complied in this project, will make their learning experience in my class even more interactive.
