This is my first year in a new state and at a new school. Every person I work with, from the custodian to the principal does an amazing job to help all of the students achieve and succeed in their educational setting. My students are from many different cultural backgrounds which makes it even more important to me to provide differentiated instruction and meet their individual educational needs. 87% of the students in my school are economically needy and 49% are of a Hispanic background and speak limited to no English. As a resource teacher I work with students in kindergarten, first, and third grades. I spend half of my day working directly with classroom teachers and students in small groups and the other half of my day with students in my classroom. I want all of my students to feel like they are making strides towards their educational goals and develop a passion for learning.
