Learning centers provide students with engaging opportunities to practice, enrich, reteach and enhance their learning. These centers allow students to further explore and practice literacy and math concepts through the use of manipulatives and puzzles. By providing more manipulatives and tools, I will be able to construct differentiated centers that will keep all engaged. In addition, centers allow me to work with students in small groups to differentiate instruction, while the rest of students also engage in small group or independent centers. I have collected English centers during my first two years of teaching, but significantly lack Spanish centers. It is imperative for my students to participate in centers in both Spanish and English so that they can equally master both languages. Our school provides our students with the essential curriculum, but lacks materials would help differentiate centers, small group and independent work.
