When the world shut down in a frenzy last year, teachers scrambled to put the pieces together for our students quickly. Packets of papers, Zoom Meetings and more flew into the hands of our parents and students. Families scrambled to find the art supplies that they had in their homes and made the best of lessons designed to keep their children creative and engaged. This academic year, as we approach some of the same hurdles, with more time to plan, I am seeking donors to help get REAL art supplies into the hands of our students. This project will help create individual Art Kits for EVERY student in our rural elementary school community! (Grades K-6) It will also build a library of diverse Art Books that introduce the students to artists of diverse backgrounds.
