I left a business career to come fit the pandemic that has occurred in learning: The decline of rigorous and relevant visual arts that produces visual literacy. Art must be an intentional continuous demonstration of grade level applications and scaffolds to higher levels, but also a demonstration for the functional, commercial, industrial and emotional capacities of Visual Arts. The message of my art room from day one will speak that they are creators, they have the freedom to experiment and make mistakes, and through art we can expressively develop as humans and intentionally grow. I am learning from them as much as they are learning from me. Art is the doorway to engineers, architects, marketing gurus and designers. It can change environments, spaces, and build community through unified purpose.
