My school is the only “green” school in Florida. The building was built out of recycled materials. Our cafeteria is organic, natural and healthy. We are working toward adding a solar powered grid to reduce energy. There are many wonderful aspects of this school, except money. The teachers are paid less, we have little materials and resources and no money to be able to buy resources. We are a title-one school with low income families and very little technology. Many of my students do not have a computer at home.
