A lot of Spanish Heritage Speakers have difficulty reading in Spanish, this project will increase their fluency, comprehension, and their vocabulary as well. I will assign activities accordingly, based on each students' reading comprehension levels ranging from remediation to enrichment level. I have selected a list of books that will provide a much needed addition to my existing personal collection. Aside from reading comprehension, students lack a knowledge of Hispanic culture, history, stories and folktales. This donation will also provide the opportunity for students to learn about a culture that is not taught very often, but is a huge part of their everyday lives.
