My students are a diverse group of people who also share some core traits; they are funny, kind, smart, thoughtful, and resilient. They attend one of the largest urban learning communities in MA -- one that was established as the first public co-educational high school in the country. Students come from over 60 countries and speak over 50 languages. so every class has students with different learning styles and challenges. But, we practice varied strategies so that everyone has the ability to be successful. We spend our time reading, writing, talking, and analyzing literature and topics that are meaningful and relevant to students' lives.
