My students are all English language learners.They are amazing because not only are they learning grade level content, but also learning English. While this is a challenge, I'm always amazed by them.Our school is a Title 1 school. Many times this means that our families must deal with other hardships due to their economic status.This is why it is even more important that my students have a village to support them.While they have many obstacles to overcome, they have taught me that with hard work these obstacles can be overcome.When I see my students learning I feel proud of them and a strong sense of responsibility to meet their needs overcomes me.That not only means consistently improving in my profession, but also to be resourceful. Unfortunately resources are scarce and meeting their needs without the resources is challenge.It is my hope that through Donors Choose I will be able to meet their needs.
