My students are 9-12 grade special education students with mild to moderate cognitive delays or emotional disturbances. We are a community of 18,000 who has been financial stressed due to closing of major factories and businesses in the last 15 years. Because of this our school is over 40 percent free and reduced lunch, which means our students often do not have the means to obtain the necessary supplies to be successful in school.
