In reflecting on last year, my main struggle was class cooperation. Sharing was difficult, being respectful to each other was difficult, working as a team was difficult. My reflections led me to the following question: "What am I going to do differently to foster better cooperation between my kiddos?" This year, I am going to change my mindset and my physical classroom environment. The mindset part I can handle alone, but the change in my classroom set-up is where you come in. I will be using community tables instead of individual desks. The rolling drawer carts will be used for community supplies per table. The Seat Sacks will be used for individual folders and leveled readers. This will help nurture a cooperative learning environment. This project, will help me help my students become better people and of course, better learners!
