These materials will enhance the learning of my students. I will be purchasing 12 Sphero minis, 12 cases and two USB hubs. Coding allows students to develop logical, critical and creative thinking skills. The girls have been block coding, and the sphero minis will take their coding to the next level. Sphero Edu offers three different coding platforms that move students from beginner to advanced coding skills. Students can work collaboratively or at their own pace. These robots will allow the girls to apply their coding skills by creating mazes and coding the minis through them. It will provide real life applications to coding, a field where females are underrepresented. My hope is to inspire the girls to pursue coding in the future.
