Like all so many teachers, I am constantly purchasing items for my classroom from my own budget because I want to give my students the absolute best. The tables and chairs will help consolidate space in the classroom and allow for more movement. I cannot expect my students to give me more than mediocre work when I am only giving them a mediocre environment. An additional bookcase will enable me to display books instead of keeping them in crates and the tables will eliminate using my desk as a workspace. My goal is to help students find their love for reading and writing. Giving them the classroom environment and organization to do that in is so important.
